Welcome Sorors and friends to the official website of the Tyler Alumnae Chapter (TAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. In November of 1942, TAC was chartered, under the guidance of one of our Founders, Myra Davis Hemmings.
For the past 76 years we have worked tirelessly to make manifest the vision of our 22 Founders, by implementing projects following our sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- Physical and Mental Health Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Political Awareness and Involvement
Today, we are comprised of over 80 educated, talented, and dedicated women, bound by sisterhood and a commitment to public service. We honor TAC’s legacy of labor and love by implementing programs for the betterment of society.
We want to thank the Tyler community, and our sister chapters for your continuous support.
